Enjoy an evening of Jazz under the stars. Trailblazers Jazz Ensemble, Pasadena Educational Foundation and Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas have partnered to bring you Out of the Ashes. On June 18th, at 5:00 p.m., doors open to this fundraiser supporting school music programs affected by the Eaton Fire. Sagebrush Cantina will donate a portion of the food and drink proceeds to the Pasadena Education Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) organization. A donation of $25 or more per person to the PEF is suggested at the door. Several bands will be featured with performances by some of the faculty from the Las Virgenes Unified School District’s music programs, as well as Superintendent Dr. Dan Stepenosky.
“Brought together by our common love of music and the devastation of the LA wildfires, this is an opportunity for musicians from one school district to help musicians from another.”

Transporting audiences to the golden era of jazz with every performance, The Trailblazers Jazz Ensemble is a high school band bringing the vibrant spirit of jazz to local senior living communities in the Conejo Valley. Comprising talented musicians with a passion for timeless classics, they specialize in creating an ambiance filled with nostalgia and joy. Their repertoire includes beloved standards from the likes of Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald, perfectly suited for reminiscing about the good old days. Each member shares not only their musical prowess but also a deep respect and love for their audiences. The Trailblazers Jazz Ensemble doesn't just play music; they create a bridge across generations, rekindling memories and sparking new ones through the timeless beauty of jazz.

Trailblazers was born out of a group of individuals with a true passion for music. Ever since coming together in 2020, having overcome many challenges in a demanding environment, they have been privileged to share their devotion to music and live performance with fans all over the Conejo Valley.
